| Major Naruto Countries/Villages |
| Land Of Fire - Konohagakure - Hi no Kuni (17 sub-boards)
Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato?, literally "Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves"), or Konoha for short, located in the Land of Fire, is the main Hidden Village in the series and one of the five great villages. As such, it has a Kage as its leader, known as the Hokage. On a mountain overlooking the village, the faces of every Hokage are carved into the rock referred to as "Hokage Stone".

| Land of Earth - Iwa - Tsuchi no Kuni (9 sub-boards)
The Earth country is one of the unrevealed lands in Naruto. A one shot picture of Deidara potentially revealed a village in the background; it was marked by earthen cliff dwellings. The Earth Country is one of the larger ninja countries in the Naruto world, sharing borders with Waterfall, Grass, Rain and several unnamed countries. Because of Hidden Rock's warlike tendencies against the Fire Country, their invasion path leads them through smaller countries like Grass.

| Land of Thunder - Kumo - Kaminari no Kuni (7 sub-boards)
Hidden Cloud is one of the more powerful ninja villages in the world, allowing its leader to be called a "Kage." As such it is one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. Approximately 9 years before the start of the series, Hidden Cloud and Leaf were locked in war. The two countries decided to sign a peace treaty to end the conflict. Unfortunately Hidden Cloud used the treaty signing as a means to gain access to Leaf and then kidnap Hyuuga Hinata and get the Byakugan. Cloud is also one of the shinobi countries to utilize a Jinchuuriki. Cloud ninja Nii Yugito is the current host of the two-tailed cat demon.

| Land of Wind - Suna - Kaze no Kuni (8 sub-boards)
Sunagakure (砂隠れの里, Sunagakure no Sato?, literally "Village Hidden Among Sand" or "Village Hidden in the Sand") is one of the five great ninja villages, and as such has a Kage, known as the Kazekage, as its leader. The symbol on their headband is of an hourglass. The one-tailed Shukaku was said to originate here, having been created from the spirit of a dead monk who was trapped in a tea kettle. With its military forces being scaled down by the Land of Wind's feudal lord, the Fourth Kazekage realized that they had to increase the quality of each ninja to maintain a military force. Gaara is just one result of that.

| Land of Water - Kiri - Mizu no Kuni (9 sub-boards)
Kirigakure (霧隠れの里, Kirigakure no Sato?, literally "Village Hidden in Mist") is the hidden village of the Land of Water, whose leader is the Mizukage. Kisame Hoshigaki referred to Madara Uchiha as the Mizukage,[3] however it is unknown if he is the current Mizukage. Its ninja specialize in water-based jutsu. In the past, Kirigakure was well known for its inhumane Genin enlistment exam, where students who had been friends were pitted against each other and forced to fight to the death, though the method was cut short when academy-enlistment failure Zabuza Momochi killed all of the students in that year's graduating class. Along with Kisame Hoshigaki and Raiga Kurosuki, Zabuza was a member of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of the Mist, the strongest ninja group in their village who each wields at a large sword-like weapon.

| Minor Naruto Countries/Villages |
| Land of Waterfall - Taki - Taki no Kuni (7 sub-boards)
The land is covered with large forests and cliffs and very much resembles that of the Fire Country, except that the Waterfall country is also riddled with great rivers and waterfalls that tumbles over cliffs and race through woods. The land of Waterfalls is not a flat country, but there's not many hills or mountains. It's likely the land was shaken by a great earthquake at some time and that caused it's unusual shape.

| Land of Sound - Oto - Ta no Kuni (7 sub-boards)
Hidden Sound is a motley collection of ninja from various clans and nationalities, all brought under Orochimaru's direction. Orochimaru traveled the world gathering jutsu and ninja in his goal to gain power. Rice Field clans like the Fuuma, volunteered for Orochimaru's army. Some clan members became soldiers in Orochimaru's army, while others were made prisoners to be used for his experiments. The village itself is a lower shinobi country. Before Orochimaru's full plans to destroy Konoha were revealed, the village was allied with Grass, Leaf, Rain, Sand and Waterfall. It is unknown if Orochimaru has been able to create and maintain ties with any other Leaf adversarial villages like Stone and Mist.

| Land of Grass - Kusa - Kusa no Kuni (7 sub-boards)
The Grass country contains some of the more widely varied landscapes in the series, with forests, grasslands, mountains, rivers and bamboo thickets dotting it. The country shares borders with Earth, Fire, Rain and Waterfall. Because the country lies between Earth and Fire, it has been in invaded by the Earth Country during previous ninja wars. To avoid Earth gaining a foothold next to the Fire Country border, many Leaf ninja came to Hidden Grass's aid during the war. This resulted in many skirmishes taking place within its borders.

| Land of Rain - Ame - Ame no Kuni (7 sub-boards)
The Rain Country is one of the mostly unrevealed lands in the series. The country resembles most of the other countries, with forests dotting the landscape. It is unknown why the country is called Rain; it may be due to seasonal showers which give the region more rainfall than other countries. The country shares borders with Earth, Fire, Grass, River, Wind and Bird. Being centrally located between many of these countries has caused it to be their battleground in past wars. This strife caused the country to adopt strict border control. Any visitors must clearly state their purpose, length of stay and be kept under constant surveillance. This applies even when Rain holds the Chuunin Exams.

| Land of Snow - Yuki - Yuki no Kuni (6 sub-boards)
The Snow country was a small and peaceful country constantly experiencing winter. It went through a period of hard times until the weather control generator was activated, allowing the country to finally experience Spring. The country had been on economic hard times for several years. Daimyou Kazahana Sousetsu was said to have nearly bankrupted the country putting money into the heating generator machinery. Later when his brother Dotou came to power, the country expended even more funds in weaponry development. After the removal of Daimyo Kazahana Dotou, his niece Kazahana Koyuki rose to power and the country began to flourish once again. The usage of the generator appears to have warmed the valleys of the country, allowing them to experience warmer climates. The surrounding mountains still retain snow however.

| River Country
The River country lies between two of the main shinobi powers, the Fire and Wind countries. To the north the country is bordered by the Rain Country. The country is marked by mountains, forests and rivers. Akatsuki chose to make the country one of their bases of operation. It's also a village known for a lot of gold mining sites and mountains.

| The Great Naruto Bridge
The Great Naruto Bridge is Here. The Great Naruto Bridge (ナルト大橋, Naruto Ōhashi?) was the name given to the bridge built by Tazuna to end Gato's monopoly over the economy. This is a very long bridge that goes from Fire Country, to the Wave Country. This was Named after Naruto's Courage.

The Valley of The End is here. This is The Border between the Fire Country, and The Rice Field Country. This is a Big Play with a Gigantic Waterfall. Statues of the founders of the Leaf Village can be seen here.

| The Chunin Exams (5 sub-boards)
To become a Chunin, a Genin participates, with his or her team, in a large examination, known as the "Chunin Exams," hosted twice a year due to the growing number of ninjas. The exam is a test not only of strength, but information gathering abilities, survival skills, and adhering to guidelines. There is a chance that every Genin who makes it to the predetermined fights will become a Chunin, though there is also a chance that every single one will remain a Genin.

| Akatsuki
Here is the Akatsuki Headquarters. Akatsuki (暁, Akatsuki? meaning "Dawn" or "Daybreak") is a criminal organization composed of ten high-level ninja that have defected from their village of origin. The group receives little attention during the first part of the series, only becoming the major antagonists in Part II. Akatsuki members are characterized by their long, dark cloaks bearing red clouds with a chin-high collar.
